I get a blue screen while in reverse. No back up camera.

If you're receiving a blue screen (either before or after an upgrade) this is caused by the vehicle not receiving a signal from the camera. Usually this is caused by a failing back up camera but sometimes it can be a wiring or contact issue near the camera.

If you recently upgraded to Sync 3, replaced a module, etc. this would not have caused the issue with the back up camera. The programming for the back up camera in the APIM is just enabled or disabled, if the screen is changing when you put the vehicle in reverse, it's correctly enabled and looking for a signal.
